If someone tells you how they really are (like that they're crazy), believe them. That's advice from the Oprah show years ago
Pay attention to what you find interesting and fun. Like the science behind head lice!
It takes a tremendous amount of courage to leave an abusive situation. No one can tell you what to do, you have to believe in yourself enough to leave
Jenny had three things that were key to her success: Anger, which she used as fuel to propel her towards her goal, a mindset that failure was not an option, and a tribe like her friend and co-owner, Molly to support her when she was at her lowest.
Mistakes are okay, they make you better, and you learn and grow from them. Setbacks do not equal failure, they mean a learning opportunity and a chance to reevaluate the big picture.
Be careful not to get stuck in victim mentality. Horrible things happen, they don't have to define who you are for the rest of your life. You have to learn to love yourself, let go of retribution for whoever wronged you, and as Jenny's mom said, grow some balls.
